There were so many frequently asked questions related to the Donnell Butler's Top 888 Songs of the Eighties List that Donnell decided to provide some answers. Now when you link to the list, you get the FAQs page before being able to continue on to the actual list now available in HTML and PDF file versions. The list remains a work in progress and a labor of love for our superhero. Most people call it the list that no one other than Joel Whitburn could put together. Donnell likes to call it the list that took twenty years in the making.

I have completed my third full year as a Ph.D. student at Princeton University. Sometimes I think that, even at age 28, I am way too old to be in graduate school. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago when I was budding captain of industry. Of course that was before the alienation associated with capitalist endeavors began to take it's toll on my soul. The road to general examinations was fraught with obstacles from a major relationship meltdown, to moving back to NJ from PA, to stop and go traffic on the freeway of my second qualifying paper. The good news is that in May I passed general examinations in Economic Sociology, Social Stratification, and Sociology of Education. I intend to complete my dissertation and defend it sometime during the summer of 2003. I am no longer on pace for the 2020 presidential campaign bid, I plan to make an official announcement soon to declare my candidacy for 2028. I think I could use the extra experience in the Senate."

It was, you, the reader's advice and suggestions that lead to the bigger photo gallery, which I will have updated sometime before or around fall break (Oct 27 - Nov 5) with some summer photos from all the weddings in which I have I have been a participant. I realize that the photo galleries take some time to load, because the large size photo is actually being downloaded (miniaturized), as you can see by the instant resize when clicking on the photo. I just procured a software package to make thumbnails, and so I hope to have that online in the next photo gallery update.

So, keep those emails coming. Especially those emails from former class mates at Franklin and Marshall, Horace Mann, P.S. 132, Prep For Prep, and military-base elementary schools in Fort Bragg, Hanau, and Baumholder. The best part about this webpage has been getting acquainted with old friends and helping new friends get to know more about moi.
